Broadway legend Patti LuPone is back to captivate audiences with her performance in the Disney+ series “Agatha All Along.” In the most recent episode, LuPone channeled the legendary Glinda the Good Witch, adding a magical twist to her already amazing career.

Divination witch Lilia Calderu, LuPone’s character, takes the stage in the Witches’ Road trial in episode 7 of “Agatha All Along.” Lilia and her coven are seen in the episode costumed as well-known movie witches, LuPone as Glinda, Kathryn Hahn as the Wicked Witch, Joe Locke as Maleficent, and Sasheer Zamata as the Evil Queen.

Patti LuPone said she was surprised to be portraying Glinda because her humorous background complemented the part. “Who would ever dream I would play Glinda, the good witch?”

In an Entertainment Weekly interview, Patti LuPone noted “She also said that while many people would not connect her with a slapstick comedy part given her more serious performances in musical theater, her first Tony nomination came for this genre.”

Watching Billy Kaplan die and allowing Wanda Maximoff’s witchy son, Billy Maximoff, to inhabit his body, the episode sees Lilia putting an identity-masking spell on Billy Kaplan. Lilia’s powers awakening and linking events from prior episodes provide the intricate story of the series still another degree of intricacy.

Patti LuPone supporters have praised her versatility and ability to portray the complexity of the role. Many of Lilia’s admirers are eager to see how her narrative unfolds, therefore the presentation stirred discussions on social media.

LuPone’s Lilia will become more vital in answering the puzzles of “Agatha All Along” as the play progresses. The play’s clever narrative and LuPone’s stunning performance will have viewers on the edge of their seats.
