Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency confirmed that Israel conducted at least 52 strikes in the south of the country on Thursday evening
Hezbollah, in retaliation, launched strikes on military sites in northern Israel. The immediate casualties from these exchanges remain unclear.
After blasts earlier in the week killed 37 and injured 3,000, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah accused Israel of breaking all red lines. Hassan Nasrallah called these actions a war declaration.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a new phase of the war, focusing efforts on the northern front.
The IDF’s recent operations are among the most intense since the conflict with Gaza began in October last year.
