The much-anticipated sequel to “Five Nights at Freddy’s” has finally come out with a start date! In an interview at New York Comic-Con, actor Matthew Lillard said that shooting for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” will start in Chalmette, Louisiana, on October 27, 2024.

Fans are very excited because the news came out just one day before the previously reported start date. The first “Five Nights at Freddy’s” movie was a huge hit, making almost $300 million around the world and becoming Blumhouse’s most successful movie to date. Because the first movie did so well, work on the second one has been sped up, and fans can’t wait to see what it has in store.

Lillard, who played the bad guy in the first movie, talked about how excited he was about the project and hinted at some exciting things that might happen in the second movie. Details about the story are still being kept secret, but Lillard’s words have made fans even more excited.

Because the movie has a lot of special effects, the production team is getting ready for a quick turn around. Fans can look forward to more information and behind-the-scenes content as shooting goes on now that the start date has been set.

The sequel will maintain the same level of quality and intensity that made the first film a success by reuniting key creatives from the first, including director Emma Tammi and co-writer/director Seth Cuddeback. Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail will return to the ensemble, along with other newcomers.

As the shooting date approaches near, fans should stay tuned for additional news and exclusive material from the set. Clearly excited about “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,” the film will be a huge hit for those who like video games as well as horror.
