Elon Musk Roasts Jaguar Over New Logo – “Do You Sell Cars?”
Recently, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, went on social media to make fun of Jaguar, a British car company, over their new logo design. Jaguar started the controversy when they released a bright, 30-second rebranding video that didn’t show off their cars but instead focused on bright images and bold words like “create exuberant,” “live vivid,” and “delete ordinary.”

Musk reacted to Jaguar’s post with a straight question: “Do you sell cars?” Musk is known for being very funny. This quote went around the world very quickly and made Musk and Jaguar have a very funny talk. “Yes,” the British automaker said in response to another jokey question. “We want to show you. Join us for a cuppa in Miami on 2nd December? Best regards, Jaguar “
People have had a range of responses to the makeover video, which showed models wearing fancy, bright clothes. Some people liked the bold new direction, but others thought it was too different from Jaguar’s usual style. “They don’t make cars anymore,” one person said. Another person said, “I thought this was a dating site,” which was a joke.

Jaguar has changed its famous big cat logo, which shows teeth. This is part of a larger plan to move toward an all-electric future. The Jaguar new logo, which is spelled “JaGUar,” is a simple “leaper” on a background of lines. People who work for Jaguar said that the change is meant to appeal to more young people.
Nobody likes Jaguar’s new direction, but the company is still set on its new road. Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern said that the rebranding is all about “starting from a clean sheet” and giving the company a fresh look from now on.
In 2026, Jaguar will come out with three new electric cars. The company will look very different after this.
The debate is still going on, and it’s not clear yet if Jaguar’s bold renaming will appeal to its current customers or to a new group of electric car fans. One thing is for sure: Elon Musk’s roast has made Jaguar’s bold changes even more interesting.
