Alexander Zverev said he was happy with his showing after the match. “I knew I had to play like this to win today,” he stated.
“Ugo is a great player, but I knew that he played even better here in Paris than he does at home. It’s going to be hard once the crowd gets involved. I had to get rid of that early, which I did, so I’m glad about that.

After losing, Haubert stayed positive and said Zverev had played better. “It was a beautiful week, despite my defeat today,” said he. That makes me feel like I’m totally committed. No problem here. Humbert will move up to No. 14 in the ATP rankings because he did well in the final.
